She's also asked me to be on hand for the birth as well! Very excited for them!

A friend of mine is having her second baby, a boy, and wanted me to take some pictures for her. It was a fun session :)

Day 13--laundry day in the Burns household
I seriously don't know how we accumulate so much laundry! It's just the two of us. I can't imagine what it will be like once we have kids.

Day 12--our Sunday ritual
For the past few weeks, we've gotten together with a bunch of friends to grill out. It's a nice to hang out and take the time to enjoy the nice weather we sometimes get around here.
Day 11--why must the weather here be so weird?
I hate the rain! I absolutely loath being cold & wet. The only good thing about the rain is I get to wear my cute rain boots.

Day 10--date night with the hubster
It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday! Mike and I try to have a date night at least once every other week. Tonight we went to see Green Lantern.
Day 9--grocery shopping
I needed to go grocery shopping today. Besides going to class, working on my paper, and working that was my big event ;)
This was my table once I emptied the bags:

I bought EVERY SINGLE can of vegetable stock they had! And the sad part: I need more!

Day 8--I'm really not interesting enough for this!
I'm sure many people think their lives are boring, but how many of them sit in front of a computer all morning working on a paper for their Technical Writing class? Yeah, I thought so. I win!

Day 7--What do you eat on a vegan diet?
I use these books almost as much as my scriptures lately. We're on a strict vegan diet and we're meat eaters by nature. This diet has been tough, but we're persevering! On tonight's menu: French Onion Soup and Orange Salad.
Day 6--My oldest enemy
I have always had problems with my weight. The scale is my oldest enemy.
However, yesterday when I stepped on this bad boy I had lost 7 pounds! In a week! This diet's working!!! :)

Day 5-Dani's going on a mission!
Not right now, but soon! She's finishing her mission papers and needed a picture to submit. I'm going to miss her terribly. Rexburg won't be the same without her. I'm going to miss her coming over, doing laundry, her listening to me complain about my classes, me listening to her complain about her roommates, going to get snow cones, and having her sweet, sweet spirit around. She's had such an interesting life and is such an inspiration to me. She will be a wonderful missionary.
Day 4-It's time to admit it
I'm old. Or I'm getting there. Either way, I have a new "friend." My "right hand man." ....I'm out of analogies.
Arthritis runs in my family. It has finally hit me, and hit me hard. The past few weeks have been an internal struggle with not wanting to admit defeat versus deciding it's time to admit the truth. And I need something to help:

Looks fun, right?

Day 3-Savi
I went to take some pictures of my friend in her last couple of weeks of pregnancy. Her cute little girl tagged along and pretended to be shy. She's a cutie though!
Day 2--Why I don't photography my husband
With all the assignments I've had due over the past couple of semesters, I've been asked a couple of times why I don't photograph my husband.
- He's not a willing subject. He usually asks if I can get someone else and then comes up with excuses was to why he can't.
- He's more difficult to photograph than anyone else I know! I've dealt with three year olds, mind you.
- It helps keep marital harmony if I don't.
This is usually what I end up with, preceded by a grunt and a frustrated "Fine!"
However, he is a GREAT assistant. He will drive me to whatever destination I have in mind, even if I have no clue what I want. He will keep kids entertained and happy during the boring parts of a session. And he keeps me sane when I don't think anything I do is good enough.

Other stuff
Two Week Challenge
As part of my photography class, I have to take a picture everyday as part of a "photo journal". I'm just warning you in case you wonder why your dashboard suddenly becomes flooded with my stuff :)
Day 1-This dress is a side project I had. A sister in my ward asked me to make her daughter's blessing dress out of her wedding dress. I had some difficulties (one of which was a HUGE fear of ruining the wedding dress then not having anything to show for it because I also ruined the blessing dress) and it took a massive dose of patience, but I persevered! I finished the dress on time and documented the whole process....except getting a picture of the completed dress! I ran over and asked to borrow the dress for just a few minutes to get a quick picture to put on the CD I'm making the sister with all the pictures I took over the past two weeks.
